Chris Shumate joined the YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley in 2022 and serves as Director of Finance. Chris is a Knoxville native who has extensive experience working with non-profits, including a men's residence program.

He is responsible for the direction and management of all fiscal aspects of YWCA Knoxville the Tennessee Valley, and YWCA Knoxville Foundation, including all accounting functions, grant compliance, and more. Chris is a member of the leadership team, helping to carry out the YWCA strategic vision.
