YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley
Programs & Services
COVID-19 NOTICE (MARCH 13, 2020):
YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley places the health and safety of its clients, staff, members, and supporters at the highest level of importance. As we monitor the COVID-19 status in our service area, we are basing our decisions for program and facility operations on recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), our local and state authorities, Knox County Schools and others. In an effort to promote social distancing, YWCA is suspending all group meetings and activities at all YWCA locations (Downtown Knoxville, Phyllis Wheatley Center and Oak Ridge) until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your understanding during this time.
YWCA Victim Advocates will be available via phone for those seeking domestic violence services. Safety Planning, Danger Assessments and other recommendations can be made over the phone to those seeking assistance. Serving those in need is a top priority and will continue through alternative methods. Call YWCA at 865-523-6126 for assistance.
YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley serves clients from all backgrounds, year-round at our Phyllis Wheatley Center, Downtown Knoxville, and Oak Ridge facilities.
We provide safe, affordable housing to women and their families. We empower victims of domestic violence with the tools they need to escape their abusers. Our innovative GameChangers program encourages boys and men to prevent violence against women. Students at the Phyllis Wheatley Center participate in evidence-based programs design to help them succeed in school and beyond. We encourage healthy living with our affordable Club W membership program.
The YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism and empower women. Join us.
