Oak Ridge Open House & Ribbon Cutting

Thank you to everyone who joined us on October 29!

We are extremely grateful to our Chairwoman, Jane Palmer and her team of volunteers for organizing this event! It’s a new day at the YWCA!

The YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley began offering domestic violence services in Oak Ridge and Anderson County in 2015. In early 2017, the former YWCA of Oak Ridge building was acquired by the YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley, and building renovations commenced shortly after the acquisition.

The 10,500-square foot building in Oak Ridge in now home to YWCA staff members who serve victims of domestic violence, and non-profits Prevent Child Abuse Tennessee and CASA of the Tennessee Heartland whose missions align with the YWCA.

A large, multi-purpose community room can also be rented for public use. Please call 865-523-6126 for inquires or scheduling.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ribbon Cutting

We began outside of the renovated building with words from YWCA Staff as well as Katatra Vasquez, Leadership Knoxville Class of 2018 represenative, District Attorney General Dave Clark, Brian Buuck CEO of Ridgeview and wrapped it up with a blessing from Pastor David Allred of High Places Community Church.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2236″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2226″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”2230″ img_size=”large” onclick=”link_image”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
