What is the Associate Council?

The Associate Council is a diverse group of young professionals who exhibit outstanding community leadership, philanthropy, and have a passion for bringing YWCA's mission - to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote freedom, peace, justice, and dignity for all -to fruition in the Knoxville & Tennessee Valley communities.

The Associate Council's purpose is to support the mission of the YWCA by actively empowering, energizing and informing the next generation of rising leaders to make Knoxville & the Tennessee Valley a place where ALL people can thrive in a welcoming, supportive and vibrant community.

Through the Associate Council, the YWCA encourages young professionals of all genders up to the age of 40 to participate in the organization’s events and programs, to spread awareness of and support for our mission, and to directly contribute to the success of YWCA Knoxville and the Tennessee Valley.
