Y -Teens
The YWCA Knoxville Y-Teens program is designed to empower young women by providing them with opportunities to explore their leadership potential.
Opportunities Include:
- Leadership Training
- Community Service
- Mentoring Programs
- Planning & Participating in Social Events
- Workshops Related to Life Skills & Future Planning including:
- Stress & Time Management
- Living Healthy
- Healthy Relationships
- College Planning & Job Searching
All young women in grade 6 and above are eligible for membership. Complete the Y-Teens Online Membership Registration form to register to be a YWCA Y-Teen. Annual dues for membership is $12 and includes:
- Recognition as an official YWCA Y-Teen and member of the YWCA Knoxville
- Admission to all Y-Teen events including meetings, programs, pool parties, etc.
- Invitations to all volunteer & community service projects hosted by the Y-Teens and the YWCA
- Receiving the Y-Teens monthly newsletter and the YWCA monthly e-Newsletter

Welcome new Y-Teens, plan events for the year, and Tracia Cloud will talk with Y-Teens about Stress & Time Management.

Y-Teens Sunday - Sunday, September 26, 2-5pm at the YWCA
Vote on Y-Teen Board Members, Discuss project ideas for the Week Without Violence (October 18-22), Begin planning the holiday party, and Kristen Vandergriff, former Y-Teen, will come talk with Y-Teens and answer questions about transitioning from high school to college and planning for the future.

Volunteer with Y-Teens
Are you interested in volunteering your time to work with youth? The Y-Teens Office is always seeking energetic friends in the community to help enhance our program and the experiences for the young women we serve. Time commitments and responsibilites vary on volunteer availability, needs, and skills. We are flexible and excited to get you involved!
